Faith, Hope and Love

FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE

FAITH: I am now experiencing a new avenue of life. I am the fortunate recipient of homecare; provided by dedicated caregivers. These caregivers are from young to old, from varied nations, experiences, and different religious faiths. I am of the Christian faith, but I find that most of my caregivers have faith in some higher being. In conversations the thoughts have come up: "How could God allow the present world situations?"  That is where Faith comes in. Through prayers and example is the answer. So then what is Faith?  I once read and believe Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.

HOPE: I find that my hope is based on my faith. Hope for a better world where people live peacefully and lovingly in relationships. Returning to memories of the past that were soothing to the mind, and strengthening those wishes. Though it may not be possible to return to this, we can by exemplifying love and care for one another.

LOVE: I once asked a caregiver why they chose this occupation. The answer was, "because I care and want to provide the best comfort to those in need, and to make their lives more peaceful". I find this desire present in the full medical community; in first responders and others in the medical field. I am thankful for the feeling of love and I hope that it will reach out to all communities. What a wonderful expression of love-to be cared for as I age and have more needs.
